The cold cold morning finally broke through
the heat was gone
the sun's awashed
mild dew and mist now engulfs the streets below
I smiled and shivered
laid bare naked
in between my sheets
the warmth will be missed
the rays always remembered
but i've waited too long for this
this icy breath from
the maiden's pole
you're here now
you've finally arrived
bundled up in my throws
I left my bed in a hurry
to embrace you, the bitter cold
for i have missed you so.
